The highlands - Waterfalls - History - Hot springs
This tour goes through beautiful Thingvellir National Park.
The heart of Icelandic democracy, there you will see the tectonic plates drift apart.
Then we head to the dramatic Highland road across the bleak and haunted Kaldidalur to explore Langjökull clacier, the country’s second largest glacier, on foot or by jeep, depending on the day’s weather conditions.
After that we continue to Borgarfjörður to see the magical Hraunfossar - the enchanting lava waterfalls and the cascades of Barnafoss.
The tour continues to the romantic and historical Reykholt, the home of Iceland’s great saga writer, Snorri Sturluson, and we will return to Reykjavik via Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful geothermal spring, and Hvalfjörður - Whale fjord, where there is a small whale factory and remains of the second worldwar. In this tour we explore and discover the beautiful west and it´s saga.
