We pick you up at Keflavík airport and take you to your hotel in Reykjavík.
You can then enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city or preparing for your journey around Iceland that starts the next morning.
We leave at 09:00 and head Southwest through the lava rich farmlands towards Þórsmörk. Þórsmörk is a majestic valley named after Þór (Thor), the god of Thunder.
The green valley is criss-crossed by meandering creeks of clear water and rushing glacial rivers, making Þórsmörk one of Iceland’s most beautiful and suitable places for hiking.
Þórsmörk owes its mild micro-climate to its unique location between three glaciers. Overnight at a charming hotel on the South coast.
Today begins in the Vík area where we head to the black volcanic sand beach south of the village.
From here you can see the extraordinary rock formations of Dyrhólaey and Reynisdrangar.
Our next stop is the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur before continuing to the Skaftafell National Park and Iceland’s deepest lake, the breathtaking glacial lagoon, Jökulsárlón, dotted with mini-icebergs from the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier.
Overnight near the village of Höfn, in Iceland’s South-East corner, at the foot of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier.
Optional: snowmobile tour on Vatnajökull or a glacier hike.
We drive through spectacular fjords and visit some of the charming fishing villages of the South-East as we head to the capital of east Iceland, Egilsstaðir.
Among the notable sites along the way are the majestic Mt. Búlandstindur, the village of Seyðisfjörður, the Lagarfljót River, home to the Lagarfljót Worm monster, and finally to picturesque Atlavík Cove.
Overnight at Egilsstaðir.
Optional activities: kayaking; sailing; deep-sea fishing.
You will be enthralled by this morning’s visit to the unique, natural beauty of Lake Mývatn and its surroundings and the spectacular lunar landscape of Námaskarð.
We then head for the Skútustaðagígar pseudocraters and the Dimmuborgir lava formations and still active Mt. Krafla, one of Iceland’s most interesting volcanoes.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the natural Mývatn pool, the Blue Lagoon of the North.
Overnight in the beautiful area of lake Mývatn.
Optional: full massage after a relaxing time in the natural springs.
We start the day exploring the fascinating Ásbyrgi Canyon before moving on to Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe, both located in the Jökulsárgljúfur National Park to the north of Lake Mývatn.
We then visit the village of Húsavík, known for its whale-watching tours.
The Mývatn area is rich in birdlife, geothermal activity and a very particular geology. It is considered by some to be the most beautiful part of Iceland.
A whale watching boat trip from Húsavik is optional, before heading back to your hotel by Mývatn
The morning is spend relaxing at Lake Mývatn before a visit to the Goðafoss waterfall en route to romantic Akureyri.
With a population of around 16.000 thousand, the university town of Akureyri is known as the capital of the North.
The guide will take you to the places of interest in this charming town.

Today’s drive takes us on the rough route through the centre of Iceland from North to South.
We begin the day in beautiful Skagafjörður, with optional opportunities for river-rafting and horse-back riding.
We drive over the Kjölur mountain road and stop at Hveravellir, where you can bathe in a natural hot spring in the black lava desert.
As the journey continues we visit some of the best-known natural phenomena in Iceland on a route we call the Golden Circle.
We stop at Gullfoss, the golden waterfall, a triple cascade of meltwater from the Langjökull glacier, and the geothermal area of Geysir where the boiling geyser Strokkur is guaranteed to give you the photo opportunity of a lifetime.
On to Þingvellir National Park, and where we can see evidence of the gradual drifting apart of the European and American tectonic plates
Overnight in Reykjavik.
We finish your journey in Iceland with a visit to the Reykjanes geothermal area around Lake Kleifarvatn and to Krýsuvík Cove.
The final visit is to the iconic Blue Lagoon spa (entrance included) where you will have time to relax before heading to Keflavík Airport for your afternoon flight.
